Shinhwa received an award of appreciation for contribution to Korean-Chinese cultural exchanges

The six-member dance group with six members, Shinhwa, received an award of appreciation in Shanghai for their contribution to the Korean-Chinese cultural exchanges.

On 3rd of November, at 6.50 pm (time in China), Shanghai’s International Arts prize-giving ceremony was held in the conference room which is on the 5th level of Regent Hotel. Shinhwa, which was represented by JunJin and Lee MinWoo, received the award from the hands of the chairperson of the Shanghai International Arts Committee.

“Shinhwa, using many different methods, has played an important part in the cultural exchanges between China and Korea and hence, the award will be given to them,” a member of the staff who helped out in the Shanghai International Arts Festival said. “And hopefully, Shinhwa’s activities in China will increase the Korean public’s interest in China’s culture.”

JunJin and Lee MinWoo received this award along with the entertainment company in China, Star Group, and also the Korean company which manages stars, Orange Shock、will be participating in the Shanghai’s ‘2006 Korean Music Showcase (Feel the K-pop in Shanghai)’ on the 3rd and 4th of November before returning to Korea.

According to the popular response Shinhwa is getting from the people in China, Shanghai International Arts Committee awarded the Special Merit Award. Shinhwa had shown its explosive popularity when the group held a successful concert in Shanghai during the month of July. There were also a lot of Shinhwa fans who gathered at the activity areas.

After receiving the award, Lee MinWoo expressed that, “It was an extremely joyous feeling to be awarded as Shinhwa, and I would like to express my gratitude to the fans in Korea and China who gave their support. The fact that we are being awarded with this even before we start promoting the Korean wave at the Shanghai showcase which will be held on the 4th of November adds to my happiness.”

JunJin said, “This will be my first time performing as a solo artist in China, and it adds on to the meaning of this award. I will try my best at every single solo activity. The fans in China have also given me a lot of love. Being able to stand here now, I would like to express my gratitude to the other members of Shinwa and the fans.”

Lee MinWoo, “Active in both drama series and movies~~”

At 8PM in the afternoon of 27th October, Lee MinWoo performed outdoors as part of 2006 Seoul Music Showcase.
Lee MinWoo showed his ambitions in acting at the press conference held before the performance. When he was filming the movie ‘Wontak’s Angel’, “I received a lot of tips and gained experience”, he said. “If there is a chance, I would like be active in both drama series and movies.”

On that day, Lee MinWoo also talked about the other Shinhwa members’ recent situations, showing his love and concern for the other members.

“All of the members in Shinhwa are working hard. JunJin will be releasing his solo album soon. I can see his passion from how he perspires in the practice room. Nowadays, HyeSung only eats egg yolk and chicken breast meat, and is working out.”

At the moment, Lee MinWoo is planning to hold a concert in December, called ‘M Live Works’, and he is practicing hard to give the fans a surprise. He is also eagerly learning about composing songs.

Lastly, Lee MinWoo revealed the secret behind how he built his body. “Avoid oily food, and eat food with high nutritional values. The initial three days might be tough, but as long as you can withstand it for a week, you will get used to it after a month,” he said. “When I exercise, I think, ‘If I don’t shed away all this meat now, when will I do it? If I lose all this fats, I will definitely become a handsome person.’ I used thoughts like these to help me build up my solid figure.”

When asked about his appearance at China’s ‘6th China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival – Star Concert’, Lee MinWoo said, “The fans in China are very eager and warm. I can feel this every time I go to China.” “Tomorrow, I will be representing the singers in Korea to participate in the ‘Star Concert’ in China. I will show everyone M’s music which brings forth Koreans’ confidence there.
Information on the performance

Lee MinWoo expressed his feelings about being the lead singer. He stated, “Through the Seoul Music Showcase, singers of all ages could work together through the concert, and I was happy that I could participated as well. As it was an outdoor concert, we prepared a accompaniment band, and so I think everyone would not shiver because of the cold weather, and feel the warmth of the music.”

At the performance that night, Lee MinWoo sang ‘So Sick’, the acoustic version of‘ ‘I am Happy’, and ‘Girlfriend’. He stated that, “It was due to success of the concert, that I could have the full ability to share with the audience.”

Lee MinWoo also sang ‘Bump’, ‘Ment’ and ‘One in a million’ from his solo albums. He even changed clothes on the stage to perform the song, ‘Rain’.

The highlight of the performance this time was that the ‘band’ style was used to interact with the crowd.

M Plans to Give Concert

Singer M (Lee Min-woo) will give a concert early next month to mark the release of his single album "Live Works" late this month.

The new single will contain two new songs he personally wrote and composed, and remixed versions of two hit songs from his previous albums. It also comes bundled with another CD featuring his first solo concert in Seoul last January.

M's concert will be held at Melon-Ax, the performance hall devoted to pop concerts in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul, on Dec. 2. Good Entertainment Media Group, his agency, said that fans will be able to not only appreciate the singer¡¯s songs but also participate in Christmas events prepared for the concert.

Junjin Lose 6kg For Solo

For his solo album, Shinhwa muscle man, Junjin loss 6 kg

During these period of time, Junjin excerised 3 hours a day which show off his toned muscle and body. Junjin who is afraid of water took up swimming to tone down his body.

The reason for him to change his image is because of his new image that he is showing as a solo artist. As he is always dancing and rapping, he decided to lose weight to tone down his muscle and body and from a tough to a gentle and mature image. His image change start from head to toe.

The difference from lifting weight and swimming is huge. Junjin "In the past when I lift weights, the muscle is tough and I wanted to give a tough image but while preparing for my solo, I use swimming so as to get rid off the unwanted muscle and I am trying very hard to create a gentle image. Even though I shed off lots of weight but the outcome is great." he added on "for now what kind of style and clothing will suit me, I haven't decided and I am vexed over on to give a new style"

Junjin will release his solo album on the 16th November and will start his activites with his tittle "Love Wont Come"

Junjin has express that he wish to film a drama at the end of this year.

Due to stress, Junjin has to rely on medicine to destress himself

On the 31st, while filming his music video, Junjin express his thoughts on going solo "it is my first time doing solo and i feel neverous and lots of stress. As the stress was too much for me, I had to take medicine in order to sleep. At first I thought, it was my old injury but then it became too much for me and I realise it was stress." He added on "although I have been in this line for 8 years under Shinhwa, I used to feel the burden when I walk into the studio but now all these are gone and I can walk in without any burden on my shoulder" which express his confidence

Junjin and Lee In hye passionate kiss

This 31st October, Junjin shot the music video of his title song "Love Won't Come" with the talent Lee Inhye from KBS Drama "Hwangjinah" in Kyungkido Pajoo. The music video will features a unique kiss-scene and is directed by Lim Sung Kwan who is the director of M's 'Last First Kiss'. Junjin to tranform into a ballad singer for his solo single

Coming this 16th November, Junjin will be releasing his solo single with the title track "Love Won't Come " which is a ballad song.

Junjin's first single title song "Love Doesn't Come" was written by Lee Yoonjae who wrote DBSK's 'The Time Promised' and 'You Only Love' along with Fly to the Sky's 'Don't Know Love.'

The song is about not being able to forget a lover after a breakup and a soft melody is accompanied which suit the song

Junjin first sang this song on September 24th in Japan Tokyo Budokon where Shinhwa held their Asia Tour Concert 'Shinhwa 2006 Inspiration Tour #1 live in Tokyo'

Hyesung aims to gain muscles in 2 months time!

Shinhwa member Shin Hyesung aim to gain muscles in 2 months is going through training

Starting late October, Shin Hyesung has begin his 2 months body training. For now, Hyesung only eats chicken breast meat and egg white. With the advice and training from experts in healthy eating, he has been working hard.

Junjin，Lee Minwoo, Kim Dongwan, Eric and Andy body's are gaining through excerising but compared to Hyesung's body it is a far cry. When compared to the rest, his body look weak and Junjin even tease his body on one programme as "Shin Hyesung has an alien body"

In the end, with a heart and determination to have the best body in Shinhwa, Hyesung began training his body. Minwoo who heard that Hyeusng is doing excerise, shows his support "i really hope he succeed"

Dongwan - Not Just A Pretty Face, But A Filial Son Too

Shinhwa member Kim DongWan is not just a pretty face who excels in singing, dancing and acting. He is without doubt, the funniest guy out of the 6 members, and yet he is a caring filial son under the limelight.

Dongwan is the oldest son of the family, and despite being a son, he has a very caring heart.

Guys seldom discuss anything with their mother after they reached their puberty age, but Dongwan is a different case. He consults his mother before anything and chats with her everyday.

They didn’t just talk about Dongwan’s problems at work, but also his troubles and his relationship problems.

He had been keeping track of his mother’s signs of menopause, and had called Park KyungRim and discussed on menopause issues.

“My mother is reaching menopause, and I sometimes wondered on what I can do for her. I want to be some kind of help to her. My mother doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it as I am a son, and it would be embarrassing if I ask directly, so I wonder, what will a daughter do in my position?” He voiced out.

Being a man would never understand how a woman feel during menopause, and Dongwan’s caring acts had touched many people around him.

In the end, he chose to be with his mother’s side as much as he can, and accompanies her to shopping and chatting, doing what a filial son would do.

He had also expressed his love for his mother by saying, “My mother’s white hair is the most beautiful thing on earth.”

Minwoo ' I am really fine' + Dec release 3rd album!

"I am really fine"

After news of him getting 17 stitches on his right eyebrow, Minwoo told people who are worry for him that he is totally fine now.

On the 30th, Good commented "Minwoo had 17 stitiches and it was 2 - 3 cm long but after a week, he took off the stitiches and the wound is totally heal thus there woudnt be any problem"
