Shinhwa’s Junjin has the firm support coming from a team of beauties for his upcoming mini-album
Junjin will be releasing his new mini-album ‘Fascination’ online on 7th May, followed by his comeback performance on 9th May on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ and the offline release of the album on 14th May. (i.e. available in stores)
For this album, Junjin has enlisted the help of Son Dambi and Lee Shi Young as reinforcements. Son Dambi features in the title track ‘Hey! Ya’. ‘Hey! Ya’ merges Junjin’s rough vocals with a strong music arrangement, and is a song about a man who calls out to a woman who has attracted him at first sight.
In a meeting with reporters on 6th May, Junjin said “Son Dambi is a personal friend, and she was willing to do me this favor. Junjin and Son Dambi had previously worked together on a joint performance of ‘Micheosseo (Crazy)’ during an awards show at the end of last year.
Lee Shi Young - Junjin’s ‘wife’ from MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ - has also shown her support to her ‘husband’ by featuring in another song on the album, ‘Like A Fool’, where she demonstrated impressive vocal abilities. In addition to this, she also appears in his music video for ‘Hey! Ya’, which they’ve completed the filming for in an overnight filming session from the 5th until the early morning of the 6th.
On the other hand, Junjin’s list of injuries has grown longer with a toe injury, which he received surgery for on 6th May as the nerves of his toe were damaged by a form of tetanus. He has also rescheduled the surgery for his wrist injury to 11th May. Despite his injury woes, Junjin has demonstrated his strong willpower and will continue with his scheduled activities. After 3 weeks of activities in Korea, Junjin will move on to his Asia tour from the end of May until the end of June.
