While organizing the trip….

I definitely like the countryside
It’s not that age has set in.
Since young I’ve liked the smell of the countryside, even the smell of cow dung. I think Kangta said he likes the smell of cow dung too.. ^0^
But the important thing isn’t about cow dung..
Ah! There is no smell of cow dung in Iwate! Why is this the case!
I suddenly thought about it!!! No then how do they plough all those fields!!!!! Oh oh oh! It’s weird!
Hmm…

Whatever it is
You can better feel the existence of the Japanese people in the Japanese countryside.
In fact you can still see many friendly, careful and diligent Japanese people.
The streets are clean and retain much of the old customs.
Maybe because many foreigners have come to Tokyo these days,
It’s different…. Somehow it feels like the people in Seoul. ㅜㅜ
And for some reason Tokyo to me
Just has memories of work and having annoying shopping itineraries, tiring drinking sessions.. Phew.
This trip is really great.
It’s a trip with no jam packed schedules and just two people with a slightly lazy lifestyle.
It was really relaxed.
Though it was embarrassing everytime my dongsaeng (younger brother or junior) and I sat face-to-face in coffeeshops sipping tea.


That morning for some reason the rain seemed to have stopped,
So when we went on the Shinkansen we left our umbrellas behind.
In the end we had to make do with umbrellas from the convenience store that elementary schoolkids use while we took photos.. ㅜㅜ
Looks like I’m quite amazing. A Korean with a strong will!

(This part reminds me of his Manwon Happiness when he went to the supermarket to sample from all the food stalls… HAHAHAHAHHAAHHA)

The water is Lake Tazawa is really clear.
Just like the sea.

Coming back from Japan there’s something I’m really envious of.
Rather than to replace the old with the new, there are traces of efforts to preserve ancient artifacts in its entirety.

After seeing Seung Yeob off first I roamed around by myself and saw the cold buildings of Shinjuku..

I really like the countryside!
When I’m able to go again, it will be Kyushu~

[09.05.15] Junjin’s new MV to be part of a series with newcomer Beige’s MV

Singer Junjin’s new music video will be part of a series with newcomer singer Beige’s new music video.

The story of the MV for Junjin’s ‘Hey Ya!’ featuring Lee Shi Young, is expected to be split into the male perspective and the female perspective. Junjin’s MV tells the story from the guy’s point of view, while Beige’s MV for ‘Pitiful’ will see the story from the female side of things. Lee Shi Young, who played Junjin’s make-believe wife on MBC variety show ‘We Got Married’, will also be appearing in this video.

The two versions will tell of how Junjin and Lee Shi Young meet, fall in love and subsequently part.

Junjin’s version focuses on the love story through the eyes of the guy, and how he teaches the girl he loves how to dance; Beige’s version explores the thoughts and feelings of the girl who had to leave the guy she loves.

A spokesperson for Junjin said, “Lee Shi Young’s outstanding dancing skills have really surprised us. Even Junjin is really impressed and said that though she didn’t learn the dance together, she has done a great job of keeping up with the powerful dance steps, and that she really dances very well.”

Close Encounters of the Junjin Kind – A 9th May fan account

For the morning rehearsal, he sang ‘Like A Fool’ after ‘Hey Ya’
And while the staff were making preparations for the stage, the atmosphere was just like a fanmeeting
Oppa said it was really tough to get the pitch right because he wasn’t feeling well ㅠㅠ

When we told him to reply on UFO (an online messaging service) he pretended not too hear us ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Oppa do you know how adorable you are?? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Then he kept teaching us how to move our hands.. ㅋㅋㅋ
And he pretended to flare up and said: You all have to give a good response! …ㅠㅠ *shudder*….ㅠㅠ Oppa you’re too much….ㅠㅠ

After the recording I headed to the carpark~~ Because I had a feeling that oppa would be going to the hospital???
Or to the place he always goes to hang out???
Or to the convenience store???
Anyway I just went to the carpark ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

After about 5 minutes.. I saw oppa walking out
“Oppa!! Are you going to the hospital???”
“No I’m not, kid~”

I planned on coming here to play today.. ㅋㅋ(Since I have nothing to do..ㅋㅋㅋ)
But since oppa’s in there I couldn’t go in anymore…. ㅠㅠ

[09.05.12] The motivation for Junjin to carry on despite injuries – Shinhwa fans?

Shinhwa fans have shown a great deal of support and understanding for Junjin’s latest mini-album ‘Fascination’.

Junjin made his comeback on 9th May via MBC’s Show! Music Core, performing his new songs ‘Hey Ya’ and ‘Like A Fool’, exuding his unique charisma and charm as he announces his comeback to the music scene.

Prior to his comeback, Junjin had injured his wrist and toe in an injury crisis, but he chose to press on, “I’ll stand on stage no matter what.” This is his message for the fans who have given him cheered him on and given him unwavering support all the way since his Shinhwa days

The hearts of the fans of this pioneer idol group who debuted in the late 90s haven’t changed within these 10 years, and their passion remains strong. The group has had the same members all along, and the fact that their solo and group activities proceed smoothly simultaneously makes Shinhwa even more special.

The fans have been continuously giving support to the Shinhwa members during their solo activities as well, at every member’s comeback stage and album activities; and during group activities, the fans give their support too, demonstrating their powerful influence.

- Someone asked Junjin if there will be any fansigning sessions, he said there should be once the album is available in stores.

- He said that although he has no problems using his injured hand when he’s dancing or playing pool (what….? -_-*) but he can’t bend his wrist or exert too much force on it. He needs to have surgery to fix that, but that would mean that he can’t film Infinite Challenge. The fans got upset, and he said, “It’s ok, it’s not really serious so don’t worry. I’m grateful that so many of you could come.”

- Q&A Session:

1. If Mommy Bird is Hyesung, then who’s Daddy Bird?
Jin said that he wants to be Mommy Bird instead, and Hyesung will be Baby Bird now. And because the fans kept on shouting Eric’s name, he said, “Daddy Bird is Eric hyung.”

Then he added, “These days when Eric hyung always calls me when he goes to the toilet.” (too much information but still….. WHAHAHAWHAHAHHAHAHAHA)

2. Is he having a relationship with beanies?
Jin said, “Yes I do, anyone here has naturally curly hair? You’d know how I feel. I’d wear it even on rainy days. Straight-haired people, go away!”

3. What job does he want to have in his next life?
He pondered for a long time, then suddenly a fan shouted, “Boss of a pool hall”
Jin said, “Yes yes yes that’s it. I want to be the boss of a pool hall that’s 10,000 square feet big.

4. When is he planning to get married? Would he marry someone 12 years younger?
Jin said, “I’ll get married when someone good comes along. Since I’m financially able so it’s not impossible for me to date someone 12 years younger.” Then he talked about wanting to quickly have a kid who looks just like himself, and then he talked about making Shinhwa Junior too.

[09.05.09] “Injured? No problem!” Junstin Jinberlake’s powerful comeback

Hey Ya!

Like A Fool Performance

Despite suffering a wrist injury and tetanus, singer Junjin made a brilliant comeback to the music scene with his unwavering willpower.

After releasing his mini-album ‘Fascination’ online on 7th May, Junjin made his comeback on 9th May on MBC’s Show! Music Core. There were concerns over his injuries a few days ago, but Junjin has nevertheless stuck to the original schedule.

Dressed in dark blue and wearing a cap, Junjin looked great as he pulled off a cool and masculine dance choreography. He performed 2 songs – ‘Hey Ya’ and ‘Like A Fool’.

‘Hey Ya’ was performed against a backdrop decorated with barbed wire, and Son Dambi supported Junjin’s comeback by featuring in the performance. Junjin performed ‘Like A Fool’ holding a standing microphone amidst a great atmosphere.

Overheard at the Star Golden Bell recording on 4th May…

Popular idol group Super Junior have said on a recent recording for KBS2’s Star Golden Bell that out of all their seniors in Shinhwa, they named Shin Hyesung as the one they would want to be like the most.

In particular Super Junior member Kyuhyun said to the amusement of studio guests, “I like to play computer games, and Shin Hyesung sonbae has introduced me to many pro gamers and thanks to him I’ve gotten to know many gaming experts. I’m really glad for that.”

During the recording for KBS2’s Star Golden Bell on 4th May, Singer Andy who has recently made his comeback as an actor has revealed that the girlfriend he had 7 years ago was the last girl he dated.

“The girlfriend that I dated 7 years ago was the last girlfriend I had.” He shyly added, “At that time, it took me about a month to start a relationship with her. And I even had to make my confession with the help of some alcohol.”

Andy appears as the younger brother of the female protagonist in the new SBS daily drama ‘Two Wives’, where his character is a somewhat clueless freeloader. He said, “In actual fact when I’m not working and staying at home, I hang around at home doing nothing too.”

[09.05.07] Junjin’s ‘Like A Fool’ releases online to overwhelming interest

Junjin’s latest mini-album ‘Fascination’ was released online on 7th May to a great deal of interest and attention.

This album became the most-searched keyword upon its release. The title track featuring Son Dambi ‘Hey Ya’ as well as ‘Like A Fool’ featuring Lee Shi Young also received overwhelming interest.

Netizens caught on to the Junjin-style dance track ‘Hey Ya’ and the mid-tempo ‘Like A Fool’ which showcases a brand new side of Junjin, shortly after the songs were released to the fans who have been waiting for the album’s release.

With the online release of the album, Junjin will go on to his comeback stage on 9th May on MBC’s Show! Music Core and follow up with the offline release of the album on 14th May. He will also be launching his new fashion brand BIGENCHILADA as well as kick off his Asia tour at the end of May.

[09.05.06][News] Junjin make his comeback with support from Son Dambi & Lee Shi Young

Shinhwa’s Junjin has the firm support coming from a team of beauties for his upcoming mini-album

Junjin will be releasing his new mini-album ‘Fascination’ online on 7th May, followed by his comeback performance on 9th May on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ and the offline release of the album on 14th May. (i.e. available in stores)

For this album, Junjin has enlisted the help of Son Dambi and Lee Shi Young as reinforcements. Son Dambi features in the title track ‘Hey! Ya’. ‘Hey! Ya’ merges Junjin’s rough vocals with a strong music arrangement, and is a song about a man who calls out to a woman who has attracted him at first sight.

In a meeting with reporters on 6th May, Junjin said “Son Dambi is a personal friend, and she was willing to do me this favor. Junjin and Son Dambi had previously worked together on a joint performance of ‘Micheosseo (Crazy)’ during an awards show at the end of last year.

Lee Shi Young - Junjin’s ‘wife’ from MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ - has also shown her support to her ‘husband’ by featuring in another song on the album, ‘Like A Fool’, where she demonstrated impressive vocal abilities. In addition to this, she also appears in his music video for ‘Hey! Ya’, which they’ve completed the filming for in an overnight filming session from the 5th until the early morning of the 6th.

On the other hand, Junjin’s list of injuries has grown longer with a toe injury, which he received surgery for on 6th May as the nerves of his toe were damaged by a form of tetanus. He has also rescheduled the surgery for his wrist injury to 11th May. Despite his injury woes, Junjin has demonstrated his strong willpower and will continue with his scheduled activities. After 3 weeks of activities in Korea, Junjin will move on to his Asia tour from the end of May until the end of June.

[09.05.06][News] Junjin’s injury woes continue with toe injury; surgery on 6th May

Shinhwa member Junjin has once again suffered another injury just days before his comeback performance.

Junjin had injured his toe during a recent dance rehearsal for his music video, and a form of tetanus had injured the nerves in his toe. A spokesperson for Junjin had said, “The nerves were damaged”, a sign of the seriousness of the injury.

Junjin underwent surgery on the afternoon of 6th March to put a stop to the increasing pain, as he aggravated his injury during the practice sessions.

After his surgery, Junjin met with some reporters and he said, “I was already injured, but it seemed to have worsened when I was practising. I took some painkillers and carried on with the MV filming on 5th May, but as the pain increased, I had to undergo surgery.”

Junjin had also injured his wrist recently, and not long after he had also injured his ankle, but he insisted on carrying on with his scheduled activities. “No matter how painful it is, even if I have to be in a cast, I’ll still go on stage.”

During the filming for the bobsledding special for MBC’s Infinite Challenge in early January, he had suffered a cracked shoulder blade, and news of his wrist injury came about just days before his comeback, prompting rumors such as “this is to delay enlistment” and “this is a publicity stunt”. This is why Junjin said that he will bear with the pain and carry on preparing for his comeback.

During a filming session for ‘Infinite Challenge’ on 30th April, Junjin had aggravated his wrist injury, and after diagnosis his injury will require surgery and take a further 6 weeks to heal. Despite that Junjin has still kept up with his busy schedule.

“I don’t want to let down the fans who have been waiting, so I’ll still make my comeback as scheduled even if I’m in a cast.”

The knee injury that’s first and foremost on all our minds - he didn’t show any signs of pain. I don’t know if he took a jab or if he was just bearing with the pain, but in any case everything went on smoothly and safely today, so I guess that’s a relief too.

Back to the concert - compared to yesterday’s show, the key highlight for today is - guest appearances.

There were no special guests yesterday but today 2AM came by and sang 2 songs (JYP artistes are really vocally talented). But Singer Shin got a little jealous because everyone clapped and cheered really loudly for these 4 juniors… So we had to clap and cheer even louder for him and he gave us a satisfied smile… *sigh*

But there was another guest, and he was the highlight after the string of ballads! I’m sure everyone would have heard of Lee Mun Se, even if you’re not very familiar with him, you would have heard Shinhwa’s version of ‘Red Sunset’, and the song was also covered by Big Bang… This is the original singer, who’s a veteran sonbae (senior) in the industry

When he appeared on stage, everyone stood up and gave him an overwhelming reception that didn’t pale in comparison to HS. Of course HS was even more grateful to Lee Mun Se sonbae for turning up, and he looked positively happy to be singing together with him, which reminded me of the time he performed with Kim Gunmo sonbae, and it felt really great.

We all know HS’s talents as a ballad singer but yesterday and today, he really hyped up the atmosphere to a high, close to that of a rock concert - singing, jumping and screaming with the fans, runnning across the stage, headbanging with the bassist. I think it’s clear how Side 1 has helped him and how HS can managed all kinds of genres.

There was a part where he was singing during the remake segment, and everyone was listening intently to him when he covered his mouth with both his hands and started blowing into what seemed to be a harmonica and the lovely strains of the harmonica came over the speakers

As we were all listening suddenly Singer Shin put his hands down and struck a pose… But the harmonica kept on playing… And the fans burst into laughter. Just imagine the combination of the fans’ laughter, the gentle music and HS striking a corny pose…

‘Boys Over Flowers’ has been really popular, and there was a funny VCR where HS edited himself into scenes from the drama, replacing Kim Hyun Joong’s character Yoon Ji Hoo, and he even played the violin looking really princely…

His rendition of ‘You Raise Me Up’ was perfect today, and I think the lyrics of the song reflected his own thoughts… It’s already a touching song, and even HS said he would tear up when he hears the song… Hehe…

There was a support event today too. During ‘Why Did You Call’, everyone held up a little white banner and waved it while singing along. HS must have been surprised to see that because he missed the first line of the song… And during ‘Same Thought’ everyone held up a white electric candle each and the atmosphere was really romantic with the lights sparkling like stars

When he finished with the encore song, he came back on once again with the band to bow and thank the audience… then he waved to the fans and gave us a thumbs-up…

[09.05.04][News] Gundam couple’s theme song ‘My Love’ gains popularity

The ending theme song for the Junjin/Lee Shi Young couple on their final episode for MBC variety programme ‘We Got Married’ is currently enjoying much popularity. The 3rd May episode of WGM was the final episode featuring Junjin and Lee Shi Young, and ended their run on the show after the broadcast.

On this episode, in order to impress Lee Shi Young, Junjin had asked his album producer Ahn Young Min to produce a theme song for them. Ahn Young Min, who had previously worked on albums for SG Wannabe, Big Bang and Davichi among others, offered the song ‘My Love’ by singer Marshmallow to them, which Ahn Young Min also produced himself.

This song was used during a video montage of the couple’s memories and scenes of them, but many viewers ended up being confused by the sweet-sounding song. During the programme, the song was captioned as “Like A Fool” by Junjin, and that became the most-searched keyword on various websites. It was actually a mistake on the part of the production team who got confused and put out the captions of “Like A Fool”.

However Ahn Young Min cleared up the air and said, “This song isn’t ‘Like A Fool’, but ‘My Love’ instead. ‘Like A Fool’ is one of Junjin’s new songs, and there has been a mistake in the caption.”

He added, “Marshmallow will be making his debut very soon, and we hope for your support.”

Shin Hyesung completes Seoul concerts in spectacular fashion despite knee injury

Disregarding his knee injury, Shin Hyesung held his 3rd May concert in a spectacular fashion at Ewha Women’s University as part of his ‘2009 Keep Leaves In Seoul’ concert. More than 2,800 fans turned up in a strong show of support. After his fall the previous day, he continued with the concert the next day, and performed all 25 songs within 2 and a half hours, bringing this concert to a perfect end.

The concert, themed ‘The Sweet Return of Shin Hyesung’, showed him in his element as the ‘Ballad Prince’ after his previous rock-tinged Side 1 activities.


He performed Shin Hyesung-style ballads such as ‘Even If It’s A Lie’, ‘Why Did You Call’, and ‘Same Thought’, and also covered Lee Eunmi’s ‘I Have A Lover’, as well as Lee Munse’s ‘Previous Love’. He also performed his earlier songs such as ‘Hidden Camera’ and ‘Don’t Leave’ with new music arrangements that created a romantic atmosphere.

In between, he also performed a remix of ‘Love Actually’ with KARA’s ‘Pretty Girl’, complete with its cute dance, and also played amusing videos in between segments. One in particular showed him in a funny parody of Yoon Ji Hoo from popular drama series ‘Boys Before Flowers’.

Special guest Lee Munse garnered overwhelming cheers during his duet with Shin Hyesung, and the audience sang along to his hits such as ‘Red Sunset’. He even quipped, “If I could live all over again, would I able to have legs as slim as Shin Hyesung’s, and how many times must I live my life to be able to rap, dance and sing ballads?”

Nearing the end of the concert, Shin Hyesung said, “Today has been an unforgettable day. Thank you to Sonbaenim for bringing such a fantastic performance, and the explosive cheers from all of you, makes me feel really blessed and happy.

At the end of the concert, he performed a song that always brought tears to his eyes, ‘You Raise Me Up’ and also the title track of his Side 1 album, ‘Because Of You’, before ending off with the encore, ‘Same Thought’.

Overseas fans from Japan, China and Taiwan also flew in for the concert, and there were many males who came along with their girlfriends. This concert tour will next bring him to Busan, Taiwan, Singapore, Shanghai, Osaka and Tokyo, and will end in late August.

A spokesperson for Shin Hyesung said, “Although there were worries for his knee injury, but he seemed to have finished up the Seoul concert perfectly. There is a big bruise and there was some bleeding, after the concert we will have to send him to the hospital.”
