Special Law for the Maintenance of National Prosperity
‘Randomly select one out of 1,000 people between the ages of 18-24 to die for the country.’
Even if this is hypothetical it’s still discomforting, because of this deeply Nazi premise I watched this film.

Perhaps if this method of controlling human lives by force is used,
If you have the thought that you’ll suddenly die one day, during the prime of your life when you should be dreaming,
Would you be able to live with more conviction…
At least the thought of ‘anyone can die any day’
Might reduce cases of people who insist on ending their own lives.

The pain of reality is nothing in the face of death.
The premise of the movie isn’t too different from reality.
Although we are people who are alive, we are also just people who haven’t died yet.
In the face of life where we don’t know when and what will be, we have to make every day meaningful.

The older brother played by Takayuki Yamada is worth watching out for.
