Shinhwa member Kim Dongwan clarified Shinhwa’s comeback plans on SBS Power FM’s ‘Park So Hyun’s Love Game’ on 21 Jan.
When asked about what activities are in store for Shinhwa in future, Kim Dongwan replied, “In 2012, when Junjin, Minwoo and Andy are all discharged from their military duties, all 6 members will definitely gather for a comeback.”
He said, “Even if we’re only short of one person, it will be meaningless. The six of us want to sing ‘Brand New’ together again as Shinhwa”, showing a strong will towards making Shinhwa’s comeback happen.
Kim Dongwan added, “Although Shinhwa is a first-generation idol group having made our debut in 1998, but due to our individual activities and military obligations, it has been a long time since we released an album under the name of Shinhwa. But this is different from disbanding.”
He concluded, “We have never ever talked about disbanding before. We’re waiting for the time to stand on stage together again.”
“As hot-blooded youths we had our fair share of fights and disagreements, but we managed to come this far because of mutual recognition and because we complement one another. Shinhwa is alive and well.”
