[09.08.03] Shin Hyesung’s solo concert in Shanghai draws more than 5,000 fans

Singer Shin Hyesung held his solo concert ,”Keep Leaves Asia Tour in Shanghai”, last Saturday on 1st August in Shanghai, and more than 5,000 fans turned up for the show.

For the Chinese fans, Shin Hyesung specially prepared Taiwanese singer Emil Chau’s “Friend” to the rapturous applause of the fans. This song was made popular in Korea when Ahn Jae Wook did a Korean remake of the song. Shin Hyesung also performed Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry”.

His management agency Live Works Company said, “Although it was pouring on the day of the concert, fans from regions which required flights of more than 90 minutes still rushed to the venue nevertheless. It’s clear that the Chinese fans attach a lot of significance to this concert.”

More than 1,000 fans had turned up at Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport on 31st July at 5pm to welcome Shin Hyesung, and fans were also present at the hotel where Shin Hyesung was staying at.

At the pre-concert press conference, more than 50 TV stations, magazines and dailies turned up, a sign of the huge amount of attention that was being placed on Shin Hyesung.

Shin Hyesung is currently in the midst of his 3rd Asia tour, and will be performing in Osaka on 26th August and in Tokyo on 29th August. At the end of October he will kick off his activities in Japan with his first solo Japanese album.
