Andy has been voted as the ‘best husband material’ by Thai viewers, while on his first visit to Thailand as a solo artist.
On 9th August, Andy – who was in Thailand for his first solo fanmeeting – appeared on popular talkshow ‘Speak Out’ on Thailand’s biggest cable station TrueVision. In a poll targeted at viewers of ‘We Got Married’, which is currently airing in Thailand now, Andy was voted as the best husband, while the Andy/Solbi couple was also voted as the best couple.
At the same time, actress/emcee Top lavishly complimented Andy, “Though he has an adorable image on the show, in person he’s a really cool and handsome guy. His humble and courteous ways are really attractive.” After the recording, she even told the fans present in the studio, “I’ve turned into a fan of Andy now”, and asked about the website address of his Thai fanclub.
Heading to Thailand 3 years after Shinhwa’s concert in 2006, Andy held his first solo fanmeeting ‘ANDY Love In Bangkok’ on 8th August, and performed his hits such as ‘Love Song’ and ‘Propose’. The successful fanmeeting also attracted fans not only from Thailand, but from China, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and even Mexico, Australia and the US.
At the press conference on that day, more than 300 journalists representing over 100 publications, radio and TV stations turned up, demonstrating the high level of interest in Shinhwa member Andy, and the popularity of variety shows such as ‘We Got Married’, ‘Xman’ and ‘Love Letter’.
Andy is currently filming SBS daily drama ‘Two Wives’, and is also preparing for his 2nd solo album at the same time.
