> DECENT CONNECTION SPEED
yeah, i know. this one sucks. but it's needed to subb vids since you'll be downloading loads of vids, ranging from minimal ones like 30MB to some as big as 900MB! so a decent connection speed will help you if you don't want to wait for 48 hours for just one whole episode of Come To Play to finish its download.
> GOOD HARD DISK SPACE
understandable, right? you'll be downloading subbing programs, and other video and technical stuff. PLUS you'll be downloading those vids to subb! but if you are willing to download some, burn them then delete and then download again... that's fine too!!
> PATIENCE
sometimes, even though your comp is the best in town, and your connection speed rivals that of a beam of light, you'll still find yourself wanting to pound your computer to powder for being SO DAMN SLOW. so patience, people. patience.
> WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND TEACH
it's important to help each other out. subbing is complicated if you want it to be, but if you believe that you can, if you try to learn, and if people around you help you out, everything will work in the end.

all we really need right now, as we a re a small team, are:
> TRANSLATORS - we don't want to burden our NEWS translators so we need more people to help us to translate vids. translating vids are harder as it involves hearing and seeing, not just seeing. plus it takes up more time >.< > TIMERS/TYPESETTERS - timers have the most work as they need to have the translated text be in time with the video. this probably takes the longest to accomplish. typesetters and timers are sometimes the same. but typesetters are, in a way, makes the subtitles prettier by positioning it properly and basicaly just making it look good.
> ENCODERS - attaching the subtitles to vid itself.
> KARAOKE SUBTITLERS - we need them.
