Andy has faithfully stuck to Yoona, the girl of his dreams, on the 24th Oct episode on the “Ideal Type World Cup” segment of KBS2’s “Champagne”.
On this episode, Andy chose Yoona over Korea’s top showbiz beauties including Lee Hyori, Eugene, Kim Hye Su and Han Ye Seul; and even Solbi, his make-believe wife from ‘We Got Married’.
In the final showdown between fellow guest Lee Soo Young and Yoona, despite Lee Soo Young’s “bribe” of a samgyeopsal (barbecued pork belly meat) treat, she still lost to her young rival.
During Andy’s appearance on MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ during his 1st album activities, he had already mentioned that his ideal type is SNSD’s Yoona, and he follows 2PM’s Nickhun and Lee Seung Gi in the choice of Yoona. Yoona had also once mentioned that Andy is her idea of an ideal man, attracting much interest on online forums and discussion boards.

Andy also revealed, “2 of the (Shinhwa) members (I think he is refering to Eric and Dongwan’s squabble) fought at a television station before.” Apparently 2 of the members threw punches at each other while they were in the waiting room, and had to be stopped by the program PD. After that, the manager called for the two of them and told them, “If you want to fight, then go ahead and fight in front of me.”
Andy continued, “Usually anyone with common sense would just apologize and make up even if they didn’t mean it. But in the end they really just fought in front of our manager.”
In the ‘Ideal Type World Cup’ segment, the guests noted with interest that Sung Yuri made it to Andy’s top 4. However Andy said that he has never ever tried to approach Sung Yuri, even though they were both members of young idol groups then. Fellow guest Hong Kyung Min then awarded Andy with a nickname of ‘National Fool’ after quipping, “The other Shinhwa members must have all tried to hit on the other girl group members before.”

Andy also mentioned that he had known popular actress Han Ye Seul since they were both in the US. In the ‘Ideal World Cup’ segment, Andy had chosen Han Ye Seul over Han Chae Young, and he explained to the envy of the MCs and guests, “We’ve known each other since the time we were living in the US. I was on very good terms with her brother, so I often visited their home.”
This day’s episode featured Eun Jiwon, Andy, Jang Nara, Lee Soo Young and Hong Kyung Min as part of the “Comeback Idols’ Special”.
