오오오오오오옷!

괴물을 봤다..
(I saw Monster..)
어제 밤에 갑자기 어차피 맨날 늦게 자는거 영화나 보고 자야지 라는 생각에...
(I just thought last night that I sleep late everyday anyway so I should watch a movie...)
예매를 하러 갔는데..
(And I went to book tickets..)
아씨 영화시사회가 있었나보다. 울리 여동생들이 많아서.
(Darn there must have been a movie preview. There were a lot of little sisters.)
조금 괴로움.. 옆에서 계속 사진 찍어대고 있고.
(It was a little annoying.. They kept taking pictures.)
"사진은 찍지마세요~~" 라고 했더니만.
("Please don't take pictures~~" I said.)
"초상권이 있거든요!ㅋㅋ"라고 누군가가 돌림노래 부르듣 흥을 돋구는 바람에
("There's a right to privacy! ㅋㅋ"someone said like a song and sang it)
웃겨 뒤지는줄 알았다.. 다행히 안 웃었다..
(So I thought it was hilarious.. Fortunately I didn't laugh..)
(*the song part... =_= it's like a rhyme or sth in korean and the meter matches but it's sorta hard to put it in english;)

(Anyway!)

괴물...
(Monster...)
이야~~~
(Wow~~~)
난 그냥 봉준호 아저씨가 어떤영화를 또 만들었나 하는 기대감에
(I just watched the movie in anticipation of what kind of movie Mr. Bong Jun Ho made)
아니
(No)
어쩌면 한강에서 괴물이 나온다는 것 자체가 얼마나 이상할까 라는 못된 호기심에
(Maybe because of the evil curiosity of how strange it would be to see a monster come out of Han River)
영화에 몰입해 갔다..
(And I became absorbed in the movie..)
근데!
(But!)
옹 !
(Ooh !)
이게 왠일.
(Totally unexpected.)
빠른 전개에
(The fast plot scheme)
어색하지 않은 CG는 나에게 [블레어 위치 프로젝트]이루 가장 큰 몰입상황을 만들어주었다.
(And the CG that wasn't unnatural gave me a good reason to be absorbed in the movie for the first time after [The Blair Witch Project].)

음.. 처음 다리에 매달려있는 괴물이 어색해 보인건
(Mmm.. When the monster first appeared dangling on the bridge and looked a bit awkward)
그냥 한강에 괴물이 있다는것 자체가 이상해서 였을까?
(Was it because the fact that there was a monster in Han River itself was weird?)
그장면 이후로 괴물이 나오는 장면마다 소름이 돋았다.
(After that scene I got goosebumps whenever the monster came out.)
오랫동안 영화를 봐온 나로서는 조금만 CG스러워도 거부감이 드는 나로서는
(I've been watching movies for a long time and even if it looks a little like it's CG I don't like it)
우리나라 영화의 발전에 놀라움을 금치 않을수 없었다.
(But I couldn't help but become surprised at how much Korea's movies had developed.)


근데 진짜 괴물이였으면 어떡하지? -_-
(But what if it was a real monster? -_-)


좌우간..
(Anyway..)
괴물이 나오는 영화가 이렇게 웃기고 슬프고 씁쓸한 기분을 남겨줄지는 몰랐다.
(I didn't know that a movie with a monster in it could leave me with such a funny and sad and lonesome feeling.)
뭐랄가.
(How should I say it.)
영화를 보고나오니까.
(After I see the movie.)
아! 내가 이런 세상에 살고있구나.
(Ah! I'm living in a world like this.)
소수의 진실은 불특정다수의 편의를 위해 짓밟히는 조잡한 세상에 살고있구나.
(I'm living in a world where the truth of the minority is crushed for the comfort of a random majority.)
라는 생각이 들었다.
(I thought.)
괴물..SF라고 할수잇겠지만 상당히 현실적인 영화다.
(Monster..You could say it's SF but it's a very down to earth movie.)
SF아닌가? 멜로라면 낭패..OTL
(Is it not SF? Embarrassing if it's a love story..OTL)

이상하게 풍자적이면서 슬프고 무섭고 웃긴 영화.
(It's a weirdly satiristic but sad and scary and funny movie.)
괴물 강추!
