Thanks amane for the translation!!!!

Kobukuro is one of the most popular singers in Japan right now. I personally love them and was happy to see their names in the diary!!!! So I decided to translate the lyrics.

It was really hard to tranlsate it because the lyrics are vague and poetic.
So it's a rough translation. If somebody find a mistake, please let me know!

I will post a youtube link of the song as well.

Sakura by Kobukuro (Youtube)

Sakura by Kobukuro

Let's name the flower which doesn't have name.
The only name in the world.
Not to be prostrated by the winter chill
To be able to stand up again with somebody's voice

The life sleeping in the soil
grow from beneath the asphalt
Everytime they meet
They share the loneliness
They look like sun and moon

Flowers which doesn't bear fruits
Flowers which doesn't bloom
Both of them are watching you in a spring breeze
The future of you and your partner's

Every time a cherry blossom petal falls
another unrequited love get erased with tears and smiles
And we become little bit more mature

The sorrow of unrequited love
The sorrow which is strong and pure
It never changes
But please don't lose
The love which blooms in your heart.

When I saw you in the street
you were in the crowd looking down
I hope your shining eyes in those days
will not be darkened as time goes by

You don't need to speak
It must be inarticulate
Tears will turn into rain which will heal your heart

Everybody has a flower they don't want to let go in their heart
The flower is not strong
It's a weak single-stem flower

But we can feel its' strong will to live
Even in the storm, or in the strong wind
Saying there is no rain which won't stop

Every time a cherry blossom petal falls
another unrequited love get erased with tears and smiles
And we become little bit more mature

The sorrow of unrequited love
The sorrow which is strong and pure
It never changes
The love which blooms in you and my heart

Let's name the flower which doesn't have name.
The only name in the world.
Not to be prostrated by the winter chill
To be able to stand up again with somebody's voice

As you can see, their lyrics are very difficult to understand. It's vague, not straight forward and very poetic. But if you understand Japanese, you can see that they are using very beautiful Japanese and the song is filled with hope and love.

I think this is exactly what Dongwan is trying to say in his diary. Kobukuro, who wrote this song is amazing but people who understand this difficult song is more amazing. Because you need to understand what kind of feeling is hidden behind the words and lines to understand the song... And this is very Japanese.

I hope this helped.
