Actor Song Seung Hun and actress Kim Hye Soo, singers Shinhwa and Uhm Jung Hwa, and soccer star Lee Cheon Soo have been voted as the best dressers of the 21st century.
From 30 Nov to 6 Dec, modelling agency Modelline held the 24th Korean Best Dresser awards, and online polls were opened to Auction members to vote for the Best Dresser of the 21st Century awards.
A poll was done before the awards ceremony on Dec 10 featuring 42 Best Dresser winners from 2001 to 2006. A total of 9803 netizens responded with votes for five categories, including actors and actresses, male and femlae singers and sports star.
Among the 10 nominees in the actor category, 2001 winner Song Seung Hun was voted #1 with 18.5%, followed by 2005 winner Song Il Gook (14.6%) and 2003 winner Kwon Sang Woo (12.5%).
Among the 11 nominees in the actress category, last year's winner Kim Hye Soo bulldozed her way to #1 with 42.3%. 2005 winner Han Chae Young (11%0 and 2002 winner Song Yun Ah (9.4%) were next. Kim Hye Soo received votes from half of the female voters.
In the female singers category, 2002 winner Uhm Jung Hwa who has just started her own lingerie label received 37% of the votes, beating 2005 winner Ivy (30.8%). Interestingly, 32% of the male voters voted Ivy for #1, while 45% of female voters voted for Uhm Jung Hwa.
Shinhwa was voted as the most stylish male singers with 27.5% of the votes.
