Shinhwa will release a 10th anniversary commmemorative album

Since their debut in 1998, Shinhwa - the longest-running group who has been adored and supported by many through the years - plans to release an album to commemorate their 10th anniversary.

A Shinhwa spokesperson said, "Shinhwa will release a 10th anniversary commemorative album either at the end of this year or early next year. Of course right now, Shin Hyesung, Kim Dongwan, Lee Minwoo and other members' solo activities are still in progress, but from what I understand recently everyone had a discussion regarding this and has confirmed this plan."

In actual fact, when we met with Shin Hyesung recently, he also said, "There is still no proper plan for how we're going to work the 10th anniversary album yet. But (the 10th anniversary album) will definitely be released. A concert is also being planned, but because the details haven't been sorted out yet, I can't really say much now."

The release of Shinhwa's 10th anniversary album is because of the fact that Shinhwa members will be drafted for the army soon, and as the only long-running group in the music scene that hasn't disbanded and is still very well-loved, the plans for the album and the concert is meant as a gift to the fans.

Shinhwa debuted in 1998 with their 1st album Hae Gyul Sah, and has been very well-loved by fans for the past 10 years. Recently the members have changed management companies. But despite the changes, their solo and group activities are happening concurrently, making them the representative of the music scene as the longest-running group in history.
