EXILE’s former vocalist SHUN teams up with Shinhwa’s Shin Hye Sung

It has been reported that EXILE’s former vocalist SHUN (Kiyokiba Shunsuke) has teamed up withShin Hye Sung from Korean boy band Shinhwa and will be releasing their collaborative debut single on October 5th under the name, ‘Shun Hye Sung x Kiyokiba Shunsuke‘.

The collaborative efforts began when Hye Sung covered EXILE’s ballad, “Tada… Aitakute“, on his solo album, which is slated for release in Japan on August 31st. Kiyokiba wrote the lyrics to this song, and a year ago, Hye Sung requested to collaborate together for a new song.

The song is titled, “I Believe“. Hye Sung’s husky voice and Kiyokiba’s powerful vocals overlap each other as they sing, “I Believe. Kanashimi wa… ima futari de wakeaeba ii.” Although it is a love song, the duo kept Japan’s national crisis from the Tohoku Earthquake in mind.

For a Sankei Sports’ interview, Hye Sung commented, “I want to build a long and good relationship hereafter,” and Shimizu also said, “It was an honor to be asked to write the lyrics. I expressed the strength and hope for living.

In October, the duo is scheduled to hold a live in Tokyo and Osaka, and next spring, they will resume their activities.
