Kim Dongwan will be marking his official debut in Japan with the release of his solo album, while both him and fellow Shinhwa member Eric will be holding fanmeetings in Japan next month.
Eric, who was the first Shinhwa member to enlist for military service in Oct 2008, was discharged from military duty on 30 Oct. He is scheduled to hold fanmeetings at U-Port Hall in Tokyo, and at Archaic Hall in Hyogo on 18 and 19 Dec respectively. This will be his first fanmeeting event since his discharge.
Kim Dongwan, who will be discharged from military service on 7 Dec, will also be holding a separate fanmeeting at the Shinagawa Intercity Hall in Tokyo on 18 Dec, the same day Eric is holding his Tokyo fanmeeting. Tickets to the event were snapped up within moments of the opening of ticket sales. Kim Dongwan will follow up with subsequent fanmeetings in Osaka on 23 Dec and Fukuoka on 26 Dec.
Kim Dongwan will be officially making his debut in Japan with the release of his solo album ‘KIM DONGWAN JAPAN PREMIUM BEST’ on 15 Dec. A commemorative live performance will also be held on 16 Dec at the Fountain Plaza at Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
At the same time, to celebrate the return of Kim Dongwan from military service, from 3 til 19 Dec, Shin-Okubo, which is Japan’s most famous Koreatown and Hallyu mecca, will be decked out in orange flags and posters, as well as having his songs played as background music.
