Shinhwa member Andy (29) will be holding his farewell fanmeeting in Seoul on 9th Jan, prior to enlisting for military service on 11th Jan.
Besides fans from Korea, overseas fans from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan are also expected to attend this fanmeeting. A rep for Andy said, “This fanmeeting is to allow Andy to express his gratitude to the fans who have been supporting him for more than 10 years now. Also since 21 Jan is Andy’s birthday, fans will also be celebrating his birthday for him at the fanmeeting.”
Andy will be reporting for duty at Nonsan Military Training Center on 11 Jan, where he will receive 5 weeks of basic military training before being deployed for active duty. Andy is the first Shinhwa member to serve active duty after giving up his US citizenship in 2003. Fellow Shinhwa members Eric, Kim Dongwan and Junjin are all currently enlisted as public service officers.
Andy made his debut with Shinhwa in 1998 and has gone on to become a solo singer and actor, enjoying much popularity in Korea and overseas.
