After working with the makeup team from "Lee San" in January this year, Infinity Challenge has once again worked together with the team for the Horror Special, scheduled for broadcast on 2 Aug.
The filming for the Horror special took place in Fantastic Studio in Gyeonggi-do's Bucheon, where more than 200 extras were transformed into zombies. 40 cameras were used in all, making this a large-scale filming session. In order to make the zombies more realistic, MBC's art team was deployed for this project.
The special, titled "28 Years Later" is modelled after the movie "28 Weeks Later", where the Infinity Challenge members are tasked with rescuing humans from a deadly virus and preventing the 200 zombies from wreaking havoc.
Infinity Challenge PD Che Young Jae said, "The whole concept is a hybrid of 'I Am Legend' and '28 Weeks Later'. In order to make the zombies look more realistic, we had the makeup team from 'Lee San' to assist us."
After last year's Horror Special in an abandoned school, Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo, Jung Joon Ha, Jung Hyung Don, Noh Hong Chul was joined by Junjin and Seo In Young. With regards to Seo In Young's appearance, PD Che said, "We figured that horror films always featured a female character".
The production crew had started preparing for this 4 months ago, in order to minimize any mistakes during the actual filming.
