How are male established singers coping with idol-dominated music scene?

In the recent 2-3 years, the Korean music scene has been dominated by idol groups in the late teens and early 20s - DBSK, Big Bang, SS501, Shinee, Wonder Girls, SNSD, KARA and so on.

Other than them, singers who have been in the industry for at least 10 years or coming to 10 years, termed the “mid-level” singers, have also been showing their prowess on the music charts. Lee Sora, Baek Ji Young and Lyn came in 3rd, 4th and 10th respectively on January’s Hanteo chart. Let’s now take a look at how the male “mid-level” singers are faring now.
