New WGM couple Junjin-Lee Shi Young began their battle for authority on the 15th Feb episode of MBC’s We Got Married. Junjin moved into Lee Shi Young’s home to begin their “newlywed” life, but he has decided not to yield to Lee Shi Young and displayed a strong desire to call the shots in the relationship.
When Lee Shi Young served Junjin steamed chicken, she commented that her father is a fan of Junjin’s, and that the chicken was personally prepared by her father.
As Junjin didn’t believe her, Lee Shi Young had to put Junjin on the phone with her father, who advised him, “Shi Young grew up in the countryside, and all the boys who lived nearby all got beaten up by her before. You have to be careful of her pranks.” Lastly, he told him to “work hard on your wedding night”, throwing the couple into an embarrassed panic.
To get his new ‘wife’ a wedding gift, Junjin brings Lee Shi Young out shopping, only to find that she is only interested in model toys. Junjin commented in exasperation, “She seems to like Gundam more than she likes me.”
Frustrated, Junjin initiated an argument and the atmosphere between the two turned cold immediately. Lee Shi Young said, “Right from the beginning he didn’t even try to understand it, he just felt that it was strange. Junjin, on the other hand, said, “This is the first time I felt jealousy and competitiveness against Gundam.”
Later on, Junjin asked for Lee Shi Young, who studied fashion, to make him clothes as a wedding gift, which she refused, “I can’t do it, because I really haven’t done it in a long time.” Junjin then said, “I don’t need something very well made, just something made with sincerity, how could you just turn me down like that?” During the solo interview, Lee Shi Young said that she “felt helpless because I’m not too good at it.”

In the car, the couple finally find some peace. During their solo interviews, Lee Shi Young then commented, “It’s better when oppa keeps quiet, then we don’t end up arguing.” Junjin, however, felt, “Whatever it is, I’m just not as good as Gundam.”
When asked about Junjin’s obsession with taking the lead in the relationship, she found it somewhat childish, “It’s not as if I want it, it’s just him who has these strange thoughts in his head.”
