004

Shinhwa’s Junjin expressed his thoughts on Infinite Challenge’s “love wave” during a press conference on 12th June in Taiwan.

Speaking to reporters at the press conference held at the CTS Building, Junjin was asked about how he feels about being the only single guy among the Infinite Challenge members. He said, “These days while we’re recording Infinite Challenge, the atmosphere is really better than before. It won’t be wrong to say that the flowering season has arrived, the atmosphere during filming is really cheerful.”

“When I see Noh Hong Chul and Jung Hyung Don, they are always smiling widely. Last night we were filming really late into the night, and looking at the other members the thought of also quickly getting married hit me.”

“Among my friends, many have gotten married, and sometimes I do envy them and long to get married too. But it’s the first time that I have been thinking so much about it like I have been recently. Looking at them being so happy, I would think how nice it would be to feel that kind of happiness too.”

On Jung Hyung Don’s upcoming wedding, he smiled and said, “Yoo Jae Suk and Park Myung Soo are already married, and Jung Joon Ha, Jung Hyung Don and Noh Hong Chul are all blissfully in love. I feel happy, as if my cousin, not my colleague, is getting married.”

Junjin also asked for the fans’ understanding about girlfriends and marriage plans. “I want to find a nice girl and quickly announce it. It will be Shinhwa’s 12th anniversary next year, and if you were to hear about us having girlfriends, please don’t have any negative thoughts. We will still be working very hard in our careers, just as we will work hard in our love lives. We’re all past 30 now, we need beautiful love in our lives too.”

On the other hand, Junjin held his first solo concert in Taiwan, “2009 Forever with U in Taiwan”, at Taipei’s Hsinchuang Gymnasium and performed to more than 2,500 fans. This concert once again showed the power of the Hallyu star. More than 100 fans turned at the airport to welcome Junjin, who arrived only at 8pm as he had missed his flight due to a traffic skirmish on his way to the airport. Moreover the press conference was also delayed but the reporters stayed for the event and didn’t leave.

Also, many fans were interested in Junjin’s every move and stationed themselves at the hotel where Junjin was staying at. Some of them even followed Junjin’s vehicle on motorcycles and cars, causing much anxiety among the company officials from the concert organizer.

Junjin’s Asia tour began in Hong Kong on 31 May, and moved to Japan on 7th June and Taiwan on 13th June. This will be followed by a Shanghai fanmeeting on 14th June, Chengdu on 19th June and Beijing on 20th June.
