Singer Kim Dongwan’s last concert before he enlisted for military service in November 2008 will be coming to fans in the form of a DVD release.

Kim Dongwan’s first solo concert “Promise” held last September has been released on 18th June. This DVD includes concert footage, and footage from preparation for the concert to his preparation for enlistment, a 32-page photobook and a poster in a special package for fans.

Last September Kim Dongwan performed to more than 2,000 fans at the concert, rouching hearts with ballads such as “A Man’s Love”, while rock songs like X-Japan’s “Say Anything” and Bon Jovi’s “Always” showcased his explosive vocals.

The fans, at their last meeting with him before he enlisted, held up yellow banners that had “Oppa, we’ll wait for you” written on them in Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English, and Kim Dongwan was visibly moved to tears.

This DVD also shows footage of Kim Dongwan participating directly in the production of the concert and behind-the-scenes moments, and is a gift of special memories to the fans.

Kim Dongwan is currently serving his military duty as a public service officer at Seoul’s Seodaemun District Adminstrative Office.
