Started on 15 May 2005, Shinhwa fansite Ocean's Six will shut down on 15 November 2008.
Ocean's Six was a fansite started to help cheer Shinhwa, Eric, Minwoo, Dongwan, Hyesung, Junjin, Andy on in their activities. Just like what the members said when they started their solo activities, that their solo activities will help to make Shinhwa even better. The site was started based on this principle.
But gradually, Shinhwa seemed to exist only as memories from the past and promises of the future. Shinhwa activities and solo activities became unrelated. Due to everyone's different activities, Shinhwa has not been involved in album promotional activities as a group since a long time ago. Shinhwa shouldn't be about solo activities, and it is possible that people may forget about Shinhwa because of the members' solo activities. We feel hurt by the contradictions of the reality of the situation now.
We feel that it's meaningless to only maintain Shinhwa in name, and as such it's also meaningless for O6 to maintain its current state. Therefore a few months ago at the beginning of August, the administrators have already decided to shut down O6. But since we started this for Shinhwa, we hope to be a legend right at the end too. Thus we decided to extend the site to facilitate the group purchase of the 10th anniversary DVD. Due to the delayed release date of the 10th anniversary concert DVD and school examinations, we decided that 15 Nov will be the last day for the site.
To everyone who gave their support, we're really grateful to you.
And we know that there are also many people who also gave their support but did not show it explicitly.
It's all because of Shinhwa that O6 has managed to come such a long way.
But from the moment we decided to shut the site down we were most worried about the O6 family.
We're truly sorry for being unable to serve you anymore, I hope everyone knows that.
It's not our intention to do so, but if we have hurt anyone with our actions, we seek your understanding.
For the last remaining day, please post what you have yet to say.
After 15 Nov, other than sections pertaining to group purchases, all other sections will not be accessible.
If there are any clippings and materials that you need, please save them before 15 Nov.
All materials that have "not allowed to move" messages written on them will not be made available anymore.
It has been an exciting 3 years and 6 months.
We hope that we have left you with beautiful memories at the end of our journey.
