TRUST cheeky Jun Jin from Korean boy band Shinhwa to turn on the charm.

FLIRTY: Jun Jin shows off his muscles. TNP PICTURE: CHOO CHWEE HUA Greeting this reporter before Tuesday night's Korean Pop Night concert, the 28-year-old showed off his command of Mandarin: 'Ni hao, hen gao xing jian dao ni.' ('Hello, I'm very happy to meet you.')

His playful manner was recently seen in the music video for his first single Wa from

New Decade, his debut solo album.
The video, which features Jun Jin as a flirty Casanova who picks up a girl at a club, was slapped with a 19+ rating for being too sexy - preventing it from being aired on most TV networks in Korea.

And what does he think of that?
A relaxed Jun Jin told The New Paper through a translator: 'I don't understand why they restricted my video. We don't even kiss, we just pretend to.
'In the meantime, I take it in a positive way, that people are interested in me.'
He even promises 'sexier and cooler' numbers for his next solo album, though he can't say yet when that will be.

The singer-actor, who has been a part of Shinhwa for the past decade, paused thoughtfully when asked if he preferred to be a solo artiste.
'I have thought of that, but without Shinhwa, it would have been difficult for me to be an artiste in Korea,' he said.
'I have learnt a lot from the other members by performing with them.'
Flying solo

For now though, he said all six members of Shinhwa will focus their energy on their individual careers. They don't plan to release an album together for the next three to four years, he added.

Questions about Jun Jin's family background were not allowed. Korean media reports said his birth mother - with whom he has since reunited - abandoned him and two younger siblings when they were children. His father remarried twice.
While Jun Jin radiates masculinity, fellow Shinhwa heartthrob Andy Lee, 27, is more like the Prince Charming every girl wants to bring home to her parents.
It's easy to see why Andy, who hosted and performed at Tuesday's concert, has devoted fans like Kim Soh Hyun, 15, an Overseas Family School student.
The teenager, who was spotted screaming 'Andy Opa' (older brother Andy) repeatedly, gushed: 'He's so cute, he's my ideal kind of boyfriend.'
The Shinhwa rapper has released four solo albums and acted in several musicals like Music In My Heart and Polaroid.

Going solo can be lonely at times, Andy admitted. 'I was always the rapper in the group, I never sang, so I had to practise a lot when I went solo,' he said.
When he and singer Solbi appeared as newlyweds in the show We Got Married, there was speculation that they are real-life lovers. But he said: 'It's fiction, we are not a couple, it's not true.'
