Shinhwa member Junjin held his first solo concert "2008 Junjin First Live in Tokyo" on April 26th, with one show at 2pm and the second at 7pm. The concert was held at Tokyo's CC Lemon Hall, and attended by more than 5,000 fans.
Having kicked off his solo activities with his first single, Love Won't Come, in 2006, Junjin released his first full album "Junjin New Decade" on April 25 in Korea. Just as the title of the album suggests, he has taken a big step towards his next 10 years in the business.
To congratulate Junjin on his first concert, hordes of fans from Korea as well as China, Hong Kong and Taiwan travelled to Japan to give him their unwavering support. Junjin's father Charlie Park who was also present to cheer him on, was even asked for pictures and autographs too, proving that his popularity doesn't lose out to his son.
Announcing his vision towards his new decade, Junjin said "I didn't feel the time pass by so quickly because the 6 of us were together. But when I'm alone, time seems to fly by. After 20 or 30 years I still want to be able to meet everyone together with the Shinhwa members. While the other members are off to the army, I hope everyone will still love and support the members who will still be carrying out their solo activities."
He repeatedly expressed, "It has been very difficult to get to where I am now. But it's because of the fans that I'm able to prepare for each performance. There's no such thing as Shinhwa disbanding, so I hope everyone will love us until the end." He added, "The album was supposed to be released in March but because we found some excellent new songs so we had to delay it. I'm really very moved now, and I'm fighting back my tears."
After the Japan concert, Junjin will be appearing on various programmes in May, as well as planning for a concert in Korea in June and a concert in China in July.
