Korean folk heroes will soon take centrestage on television.
Starting from the recently-concluded KBS drama Hong Gil Dong, the trend of folk heroes in sageuk dramas continues with upcoming dramas - SBS's Iljimae, MBC's Iljimae and KBS's Strongest Chil Woo. All 3 dramas are based on Robin Hood-esque heroes who rob the rich to help the poor.

Mun Jung Hyuk (Eric) will also take on the challenge in KBS2's Strongest Chil Woo, playing a najang (judicial court official) by day who turns into an assassin who punishes evildoers in the name of justice by night.
