[09.02.03] Album intro: Shin Hyesung Vol.3 Side II - Keep Leaves

2009.02.17 3rd Album ‘KEEP LEAVES’ SIDE 2

LOVE,
that unforgettable pain from the memories of that day

Remembering the unforgettable… past, the memories of love!!

February 2009,
Remembering those unforgettable…
Memories kept untouched, of a sad love, Shin Hyesung is back with his melancholic voice

Last summer, Shin Hyesung presented VOL.3 SIDE 1 with a vaguely unfamiliar voice, and after showing a different side of Shin Hyesung, this time round - be it for himself or for the fans who have stood by his music for 10 years - he will present his most familiar, heartbreakingly beautiful, uniquely Shin Hyesung-style ballads in SIDE 2: KEEP LEAVES.

Consisting of 10 songs, this album not only contains songs reminiscent of sad movies, but also carries the essence of ‘Shin Hyesung’ and his melancholic vocals in their melodies.

In particular, the title track “Why Did You Call…” is written by songwriter Ha Jung Ho, who also wrote the duet “A Good Day To Love” , which he sang with Miss Korea 2006, Honey Lee, in SIDE 1. This songs depicts the feelings of a couple who are unable to forget each other and continue thinking about about each other even after they part, and Shin Hyesung’s poignant rendition of the song perfectly blends with the mood of the sorrowful ballad.

In addition, unlike standard ballads, the dramatic structure and dynamic sound, coupled with the moving lyrics and melancholic vocals, make the album stand out even more. Joining the ranks of balladeers such as Lee Seung Chul, Shin Seung Hun and Lee Seung Hwan, Shin Hyesung will bring to the audience another classic with a different feel.

For this album, Wanted’s Kim Jae Suk - who also wrote ”Just One More Time” for Shinhwa’s 9th album and “Sequelae” for Shin Hyesung’s SIDE 1 album; singer-songwriter VINK Im Hyung Bin, and Shin Hyesung’s partner in music; Kim Do Hyun, famed songwriter for many top Korean singers who wrote the popular hit “Purple Rain”; and newcomer songwriter Willkoh who was the bassist at Shin Hyesung’s Asian concert tour, have all participated in the production of the album, which looks set to be another Shin Hyesung masterpiece.

Never, ever forget the Shin Hyesung’s ballad album Vol.3 SIDE 2 “KEEP LEAVES”!!

2009, 17th February…
A song that encompasses one man’s painful memories of love will begin!!!
